Hi, I’m Ülgen. I am a product designer.

I'm a product designer with a multidisciplinary background in UX and industrial design. Over 15 years I've designed commercially successful hardware for global brands like Philips and Tefal, led design teams, and taken digital products from 0-to-1. My concept work won 1st Place at the İMMİB Industrial Design Competition, which earned me a full scholarship to complete my Master of Arts in User Experience Design at Loughborough University.

Most recently I co-founded Lumiro AI, an AI-native travel app, where as Chief Design Officer I owned product strategy and end-to-end design from the ground up. The work earned a place in the Antler NYC accelerator and was presented at WTM London and SF Tech Week. That experience sharpened how I balance user needs, business goals, and shipping under real constraints.

I work through a human-centered process of research, collaborative workshops, and tight iteration validated by user testing, pairing creative problem-solving with data to turn complex problems into products that feel effortless. I'm also hands-on with how products get built: I recently designed and shipped a live receipt-splitting app end-to-end using Claude Code.
